报告摘要： Diabetes mellitus has become a prevalent disease in view of technology advances, living standard improvement, and the changed people's life style. Approximately 11% of Americans and Chinese are diabetics. The research in this area has been and will continue to be pressing needs to prevent and postpone the onset of diabetes, and to provide effective therapies of treatments for diabetics. In this talk, we will briefly overview the history of mathematical modeling the metabolic system first: An overview for mathematical modeling the glucose-insulin endocrine metabolic system. And followed by: An integrated system towards artificial pancreas and its numerical trials.

李嘉旭副教授简介：主要研究领域为生物数学、微分方程和糖尿病模型等。1988年于大连理工大学获得应用数学专业硕士学位，1996年于Arizona州立大学获得软件工程专业硕士学位，2004年于Arizona州立大学获得数学博士学位。现已发表高水平学术论文40余篇，并兼任多个国际期刊编委、特邀编辑等。更为重要的是，李老师具有十余年的工业界工作经历，在理论与实际应用相结合、产品开发及成果转化方面拥有非常丰富的经验。
