报告摘要: Complex networks are a fundamental tool for understanding complex systems in many subjects including biology, engineering, and social science. Many mathematical models have been proposed to study complex networks based on lower-order connectivity patterns that can be captured at the level of individual nodes and edges. However, higher-order organization of complex networks—at the level of small network subgraphs—remains largely unknown. In this talk, we present a number of ordinary/partial differential equations for studying complex systems with higher-order organization.
王海燕教授简介:王海燕教授主要从事应用数学、微分方程、生物数学、社会网络、大数据等方向的研究工作。1997年于美国密歇根州立大学( Michigan State University)获数学博士学位,2011年评为Arizona州立大学副教授,2015年评为Arizona州立大学教授。已在国际知名期刊上发表学术论文70余篇。其专著“Modeling Information Diffusion in Online Social Networks with Partial Differential Equations”将由Springer出版社近期出版。研究成果被国际同行引用超过3800余次(Google Scholar)。
