报告摘要：We will discuss several reaction-diffusion models for the spread of disease in heterogeneous environment. The first is an SIS model for in spatially heterogeneous and time-periodic environment, and our focus is on the effect of frequency and dispersal on R0. The second is an SEIRS model in spatially heterogeneous enviroment, in which we investigate the effect of movement of exposed and infected populations on R0, The talk is based on joint works with Shang Liu, Pengfei Song and Yanni Xiao.

报告人简介：楼元教授, 美国俄亥俄州立大学数学教授。研究方向为偏微分方程和生物数学。1988年获得北京大学学士学位，1991年获得北京大学理学硕士学位，1995年毕业于University of Minnesota并获博士学位。1995年-1998年在Berkeley以及University of Chicago从事博士后研究等工作。担任《Discrete Cont. Dynamical System-B》主编，并为《SIAM J Appl Math》、《J Differential Equations》等四种国际著名学术期刊编委。，在《J. Differential Equations》，《SIAM J Math Anal》，《Comm Pure Appl Math》，《J Theoret Biol》等国际顶尖杂志上发表学术论文90余篇并被同行引用多次。
